Job Training For Teens

A mentor based job training program to provide job readiness to teens on the streets.

For teens on the street, which includes homeless and independent teens, it is very difficult to transition to work ready without completing high school. At the same time it is very difficult for these same young adults to complete school while surviving.

Job training is individualized and designed to provide a rapid deployment program so they have fast results and are able to get work.

Reaching out to community youth centers and get involved.

The simplest way is to offer to mentor a teen or two. These kids work hard and want to succeed. Every skill level is needed, basic remedials to internships on site. Job placement is also an important part of the program, with extremely effective Life Skills Program including:

  • General Work Skills (showing up on time, clocking in, etc)
  • Developing a Life Plan
  • Participating on Teams and Working with Others
  • Integrity
  • Dealing With What You Don't Understand
  • Managing Your Mood
  • Dealing with Work Conflicts
  • Making Requests, Promises, Declarations, and Assessments

    We work from the premise that people are completely capable and will fulfill what is expected of them. The higher the standards, the higher the result.

    Creating an opportunity for homeless and independent teens to enjoy a holiday season including baked goods, holiday tree, gifts, and holiday meals.

    EDIBLE SCHOOLYARDS
    Instructions for installing an organic garden in your schoolyard that the kids can tend and eat from. Fun, educational, and healthy all bunched in to one!

    ROBOTICS
    Using Lego Mindstorms Robotics kits, students will learn to build and program an autonomous robot. Fun, experiential learning.
